Moving to the cloud without losing anything
Moving email and files to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace is mostly planning: what moves, in what order, and how people keep working while it happens. Done well, staff log in on Monday and their email, calendars and files are where they expect them.
Being in the cloud is not the same as being backed up. Deleted files, ransomware and staff who leave can still cost you data. We set up separate backups, multi-factor sign-in and access rules, so you can show who can see what. That matters under POPIA, which requires reasonable measures to protect personal information.

Questions
Can our data stay in South Africa?
Microsoft and other major providers offer South African data centre regions for many services. We check which services and regions apply to your subscription and use them where available.
Is Microsoft 365 data backed up automatically?
Microsoft keeps the service running, but deleted or encrypted data may not be recoverable once retention periods end. A separate backup protects you against mistakes, ransomware and departing users.
Will the move disrupt my team?
We plan the migration so email keeps flowing, switch over outside working hours where possible and support staff on the first day.
