Structured Cabling and Fibre Installation in Gauteng

@fnet Projects installs copper and fibre structured cabling for offices, warehouses, factories and campuses in Gauteng, from our base in Midrand. Every link is labelled, tested and documented, so the network that runs on it starts on a clean and reliable foundation.

What makes cabling structured?

Structured cabling is a planned system rather than cables run as needs arise: runs from each outlet to labelled patch panels, a backbone between floors or buildings, and racks that are documented. Done properly, moving a desk or adding a Wi-Fi access point becomes a patching job, not a new cable run.

Copper (Cat6 and Cat6A) suits most desk, phone and Wi-Fi connections. Fibre carries the backbone between comms rooms and buildings. Because our Systems team configures networks too, we install cabling with the switches and Wi-Fi it will carry in mind.

When businesses call us

  • A new or moving office

Desks, phones, Wi-Fi and cameras all need cabling planned before the walls close.

  • An untidy comms room

Unlabelled cables and patching that nobody can trace slow down every change and every fault.

  • Linking buildings

Warehouses, factories and campuses that need fast links between buildings.

How it works

Four steps. One person accountable.

  1. Step 1

    Assess

We survey the site, count the points and plan routes, racks and the comms room.

  2. Step 2

    Quote

You get a fixed quote listing points, cable types, containment and testing.

  3. Step 3

    Deliver

We install, terminate and label everything, working in sections to limit disruption.

  4. Step 4

    Support

Test results and as-built drawings are handed over, and moves or additions are a quick call.

Questions

Do you test and certify the cabling?

Yes. Every link is tested and certified after installation, and you receive the results with the as-built documentation.

Should we use copper or fibre?

Copper suits desk, phone, camera and Wi-Fi connections over shorter distances. Fibre is used for backbones between comms rooms and buildings, where distances and speeds are higher. Most sites use both.

Can you work while the office is in use?

Yes. We plan the work in sections and agree working hours with you to keep disruption low.
